Technos revives iconic Skydiver watch in limited 1,000‑piece edition

Swiss watchmaker Technos announced the return of its 1960s‑era Skydiver Automatic 500M in a special limited run of 1,000 units. The re‑edition keeps the original 37.5 mm case size, water resistance to 500 m and a sapphire crystal, and is powered by the Swiss‑made Sellita SW200‑1 automatic movement with a 41‑hour power reserve. Seven hundred pieces feature a black dial while three hundred have a white dial; each is numbered and sold with either a stainless‑steel or rubber strap. Production takes place in Japan and the watches are priced at about €940. The project, begun in 2024, involved extensive archival research and input from collectors. Laura Goretti, Technos’ Marketing and Product Director, said the collection “preserves the identity of a model that holds a special place in Technos’ history” and confirms the enduring appeal of the Skydiver among collectors.
