Techron Automotive to build EV parts factory in Inđija
Chinese company Techron Automotive has invested 20 million euros into the first phase of constructing a plastic parts factory for electric vehicles in Inđija, Serbia. The facility, covering 4,500 square meters, is scheduled to open on November 18.
Initially, the plant will employ 65 people, with plans to expand the workforce to 200 as production grows. The development is structured in three phases, with the first deliveries to European customers expected by late February 2027. According to Inđija Mayor Marko Gašić, this marks Techron's first investment outside of China, with the entire production intended for export to Germany to supply Volkswagen.
Construction permits have been issued for the production and warehouse facility, including supporting infrastructure such as a pump station and water reservoir. The project aims to utilize local experts and high levels of automation to integrate into the global automotive supply chain.
