Tecnam sells two P2012 Traveller aircraft to Tropic Air Charters

At the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show, Italian aircraft manufacturer Tecnam announced an agreement with South Florida‑based Tropic Air Charters to purchase two new P2012 Traveller twin‑engine aircraft. The charter operator will use the planes to replace its aging Britten‑Norman fleet and upgrade high‑end charter and VIP services between Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas. The P2012 Traveller offers a climate‑controlled cabin, premium interiors, USB ports, large windows and short‑take‑off‑and‑landing capability for the short runways of Bahamian islands.

Tropic Air President Anthony Marinello said the new aircraft will “provide exceptional, seamless travel experiences” and raise the level of service for its clientele, while Tecnam sales manager Francesco Sferra highlighted the design’s suitability for high‑frequency island‑hopping operations.
