Tecno launches Pova 8 Pro 5G smartphone

Tecno has launched the Pova 8 Pro 5G, a new smartphone in its Pova 8 series designed with a focus on gaming and high performance. In India, the device is priced starting at 49,999 rupees, with sales beginning August 21 via Flipkart. The phone is available in three colors: Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green.

Technical specifications include a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1,208 x 2,644 pixels, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 4nm octa-core chipset. It features a large 6,500mAh battery and holds an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

The design incorporates a futuristic aesthetic with a semi-transparent back and Matrix Viva lighting that can react to notifications, music, or in-game actions. Additionally, the phone includes a customizable ‘One-Tap’ button that can be configured for various functions, such as in-game actions or quick camera access.
