Tecno unveils bezel-less concept phone at IFA 2026

At the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin, Tecno unveiled a Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone featuring a 0mm display border. The prototype aims to eliminate the black borders typically found on edge-to-edge displays.

The design utilizes a dual-layer cover glass system where the lower layer and OLED panel extend underneath the metal frame, effectively concealing the inactive edges of the screen. This engineering approach requires an inverted assembly process, mounting the display module from the rear of the device. The concept features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution.

While the device is strictly a prototype and not a commercial product, it addresses industry challenges such as accidental touch input by reworking touch sensitivity and UI elements. In addition to the smartphone concept, Tecno showcased its expansion into premium hardware, including the MEGABOOK T15 360 series of convertible laptops featuring Intel Core Ultra processors.
