Ted Lasso returns with women's football team in Season 4

Apple TV+ launches the fourth season of “Ted Lasso” on 5 August 2026, releasing ten episodes weekly through 7 October. The series shifts focus from the men’s AFC Richmond squad to the newly formed second‑division women’s team, the Lady Greyhounds, placing coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) in unfamiliar territory.

Sudeikis returns alongside core cast members Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard). New faces include Tanya Reynolds as assistant coach Chilton and a roster of players such as Gemma, Lizzie and Boots, portrayed by newcomers Abbie Hern, Faye Marsay, Jude Mack and others. The show’s creators say the season will explore gender bias and feminism in sport while retaining the series’ trademark optimism.

Cast interviews describe the return as “effortless” and a “family” experience, noting the shift to Kansas for part of the story and the inclusion of women’s‑football consultants. Apple also promoted the launch with a Ted Lasso look‑alike contest in New York.
