Ted Lasso Returns with All‑Female Team Season on Apple TV

Apple TV+ announced that the hit series Ted Lasso will launch a fourth season on August 5, shifting its focus to a second‑division women's football team. Co‑creator and star Jason Sudeikis will reprise his role as Ted, and main cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to return.

The new direction means the original AFC Richmond men’s squad will not appear, and several actors, including Phil Dunster, will not return. A recast child actor, Grant Feely, will now play Ted’s son Henry. The change was described by Sudeikis as “very difficult” to convey to former cast members during personal phone calls. The season promises new characters and storylines centered on coaching a women’s team in the lower division.
