Ted Lasso season 4 episode 5 release details and tribute

The fifth episode of Ted Lasso season 4, titled “Riches of Embarrassment,” is scheduled for release on Tuesday, September 1, at 6pm PT / 9pm ET in the US and Canada. For viewers in other regions, the episode will launch on Wednesday, September 2.

This installment features the AFC Richmond women’s team competing against Chelsea, alongside character developments for Ted, Beard, Rebecca, and Keeley. The episode also includes a tribute to the late Joel Stevens, appearing during the end credits alongside the song “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips.

While official details from Apple TV are pending, reports suggest Stevens was a football coach and mentor who passed away in August 2025. He was described by Burgess Hill Town Junior FC as an inspirational figure and a “larger-than-life character” who significantly impacted his club.
