Ted Lasso Season 4 concludes on Apple TV+ with major character changes
The fourth season of the Apple TV+ series ‘Ted Lasso’ concluded on October 7, 2026, with the tenth episode titled ‘Being Alive.’ This season focused heavily on the Lady Greyhounds, the newly formed women’s second-division team at AFC Richmond.
The finale addressed several major plot developments, including the death of Mae Green and the resolution of the club’s ownership dispute. Rebecca Welton secured a controlling 51 percent stake in the club after receiving shares left by Mae and securing others through Higgins. Character shifts included Roy Kent accepting a head coaching position at Chelsea and Ted Lasso stepping down to assistant coach to spend more time with his son, Henry. Additionally, the episode revealed Keeley’s pregnancy.
While the season finale left many narrative threads open, Apple TV+ has not officially confirmed a fifth season. Although there are rumors of discussions regarding a renewal and reports of a writers' room being opened, cast members including Brendan Hunt have noted that nothing is official. The series remains a significant franchise for the streaming platform.
