Ted Lasso Season 4 Premieres August 5 on Apple TV+
Apple TV+ released the official trailer for the fourth season of the Emmy‑winning comedy Ted Lasso. The season debuts on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, with a ten‑episode run that will air weekly on Wednesdays through 7 October.
The storyline returns star Jason Sudeikis as American coach Ted Lasso, who comes back to AFC Richmond to take charge of the club’s newly formed second‑division women’s team, the Lady Greyhounds – described by the platform as his biggest challenge yet. The season’s tagline emphasizes that “throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look.”
Returning cast members include Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent), Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins). New additions are Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely. Jason Sudeikis continues as executive producer alongside Brendan Hunt, Jack Burditt (new overall deal), Bill Lawrence and other longtime collaborators.
Since its 2020 debut, Ted Lasso has become a flagship series for Apple TV+, winning back‑to‑back Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series and accumulating over 13 Emmys and 61 nominations overall. The new season expands the show’s focus to women’s football while retaining its signature optimism and humor.
