In the fourth season, the character Coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt, undergoes a physical transformation following a midlife crisis. Hunt, who also serves as a writer for the series, noted that the character’s new look—including ear piercings, hair plugs, and blue contact lenses—required an intensive daily makeup process. Hunt described the experience of applying the contacts as a significant daily challenge, noting that the difficulty of the process occasionally led to frustration during filming.
