Ted Sarandos inducted into Television Academy Hall of Fame

The Television Academy inducted a new class of industry leaders into its Hall of Fame during the 28th annual ceremony held in Los Angeles. Among the honorees was Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, who was recognized for his role in transforming the company from a DVD mail-order service into a major Hollywood studio by building its content strategy.

During the event, comedian Jerry Seinfeld introduced Sarandos, describing him as ‘not only the most respected, but also the most-loved industry executive I’ve ever seen in my career.’ Other inductees included actors Ted Danson and Jean Smart, documentary producer Sheila Nevins, and ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The ceremony also included a posthumous honor for journalist Ed Bradley.
