Teddi Mellencamp defends cosmetic surgery during cancer treatment

Reality television personality Teddi Mellencamp has faced criticism from followers after undergoing cosmetic eyelid surgery while currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

Mellencamp, known for ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, has been battling skin cancer since 2022. The disease has since spread to her lungs and brain, requiring brain tumor removals, radiation, and immunotherapy. She has also previously dealt with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a rare and life-threatening skin reaction.

In response to social media backlash regarding the timing of her eyelid procedure, Mellencamp stated that the surgery was approved by her oncology team. She noted that the procedure was intended to remove excess skin and that she continues to follow her medical treatment schedule, including upcoming immunotherapy sessions.
