Teddy Swims announces second studio album ‘UGLY’

American singer Teddy Swims has announced his second studio album, titled ‘UGLY’, which is scheduled for release on January 22, 2027, via Warner Records. The project was written over approximately 15 months, a period coinciding with the birth of his son.

The album explores themes of fatherhood, personal growth, insecurities, and the pressure to meet high expectations. To introduce the record, Swims released the single ‘Perfect Man’, an orchestral piano ballad that evolves into a full soul arrangement. The song focuses on self-forgiveness and the realization that perfection is an unattainable standard in roles such as partner, father, and artist.

The production features collaborators including Julian Bunetta, Mikky Ekko, and Edgar Barrera. The visual concept for the single includes a performance with a live band, a string quartet, and a brass section, with Swims wearing a purposefully distressed white suit to reflect the theme of imperfection.
