TEDi withdraws novelty product from Croatian stores

Retail chain TEDi has withdrawn a novelty item from its stores in Croatia following public outcry. The product, a pen shaped like male genitalia, was discovered displayed among school supplies rather than in the adult novelty section.

In a statement from TEDi GmbH & Co. KG, the company clarified that the item was intended for the adult novelty category and its placement near children's products was unintentional. The company stated that the situation does not meet their internal standards for merchandise display and that they have ordered all relevant branches to immediately remove the item from sale.

Following the social media backlash, the Croatian State Inspectorate has initiated oversight into the matter.
