TEDx events in Italy explore connectivity and future choices

The TEDx event series in the Lake Como region has recently highlighted themes of connectivity and future decision-making. The fourth edition of TEDxLecco, held at the Cineteatro Artesfera in Valmadrera, focused on the theme ‘Always On: An Era Without Pause.’ The sold-out event featured eight speakers discussing the implications of constant digital connectivity, ranging from AI governance and privacy with Ivana Bartoletti to the necessity of rest as discussed by Olympic climber Beatrice Colli. Other topics included the disappearance of silence in modern society and the integration of artificial intelligence in construction.

Looking ahead, the sixteenth edition of TEDxLakeComo is scheduled for November 7 at Villa Erba in Cernobbio. Under the theme ‘Futuro Anteriore’ (Future Foretold), the event will explore how current personal and collective choices shape tomorrow. Announced speakers include Olympic diver Chiara Pellacani and mathematician Isacco Gavazzi, focusing on the relationship between individual responsibility and long-term consequences.
