Teen Agostina Vega's Body May Have Been Moved Before Being Dumped in Tucumán

Police investigations in the Argentine province of Tucumán suggest that the body of 14‑year‑old Agostina Vega, found on May 30 in a vacant lot in the Ampliación Ferreyra neighbourhood, was transported from the home of primary suspect Claudio Barrelier to another location before being abandoned. Forensic analysis of the house on Juan del Campillo 800 indicated that the blood stains there did not match the volume required for a dismemberment, leading investigators to consider that the killing occurred elsewhere. The search now focuses on a possible relocation to Villa Los Galpones. A person known to Barrelier, referred to as “the doctor” or “the surgeon,” has been linked to the case and may be connected to a later alleged dismemberment. Authorities are also probing a potential drug‑related motive, after reports of a theft of several kilograms of narcotics involving Barrelier and his associates.
