Teen Assaulted on Genoa Train Leads to Arrest

A 15‑year‑old passenger traveling to Genoa was approached by a 30‑year‑old man who tried to seize his backpack and money while the teen was away from his group to use the train bathroom. The teenager resisted, escaped, and reported the incident to the train conductor, who alerted railway police. Upon the train’s arrival at Genoa Piazza Principe station, police identified and detained the suspect. He was taken to the local police headquarters, placed under a residence ban for the municipality of Genoa, and will face further judicial proceedings.
