Teen Mechanic Nehir Habiboğlu Trains Apprentices in Hatay Auto Shop
Fifteen‑year‑old Nehir Habiboğlu has been learning auto repair in her father Güven Habiboğlu's workshop in Antakya, Hatay, Turkey for seven years. She attends school in the mornings and works at the shop in the afternoons and on holidays, handling tasks such as transmission and engine repairs.
Nehir also teaches five apprentices, providing practical lessons on vehicle maintenance, part identification, and engine disassembly. The apprentices have been under her supervision for two years.
She plans to become a mechanical engineer and hopes to open a larger workshop of her own within six years, employing friends and other young people. Her father supports her ambitions and praises her progress.
