India includes 15‑year‑old Vaibhav Suryavanshi in Asian Games T20 squad

Fifteen‑year‑old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming Asian Games T20 tournament in Aichi‑Nagoya, Japan, scheduled for 19 September to 4 October 2026. The squad, announced by the BCCI, lists 30 players overall, with a 15‑player Asian Games contingent led by captain Sreyas Iyer. Suryavanshi, who scored 776 runs with 72 sixes in the 2026 IPL season, will become one of the youngest players to feature for the senior side if he takes the field.

Ahead of the series, Suryavanshi’s pre‑match routine has drawn attention: businessman Harsh Goenka reported that the youngster watches episodes of the cartoon "Chhota Bheem" on his phone to stay calm and focused before games. The habit, shared on social media, has been praised as a reminder of his youthful spirit and mental preparation technique.
