Teenage cyclist killed in Co Meath hit-and-run

A teenage male cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run collision involving a van in Nugentstown, Kells, County Meath, on the evening of August 25, 2026. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM, and the driver of the van failed to remain at the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan for a postmortem examination, and the coroner has been notified. Local authorities have closed the road, implementing diversions in the area.
