Teenage Fanclub releases new album 'Do Not Dare To Dream' on Oct. 9
Scottish indie band Teenage Fanclub has announced their thirteenth studio album, Do Not Dare To Dream, scheduled for release on 9 October through Merge Records. It is the group's first full‑length since 2023’s Nothing Lasts Forever and was self‑produced, with recording taking place at Black Bay Studio in Carbis Bay, Scotland.
The record contains ten tracks, including the lead single “Day In The Sun,” which has been issued with a music video directed by Donald Milne. Vocalist Norman Blake said the title track’s refrain “I Do Not Dare To Dream” reflects the band’s sceptical view of clichéd optimism, while Raymond McGinley added that the songs remain “cheerful and optimistic in the face of things not being great.”
Teenage Fanclub will support the album with a UK and Ireland tour in November, beginning in Cambridge and continuing to Bristol, London, Glasgow and other venues.
