Teenage Victims Killed in Separate Traffic Accidents in Indonesia

A 20‑year‑old university student, Popy Rahmadani, died after a Hino truck crushed the Yamaha NMax she was riding as a passenger in Dharmasraya, West Sumatra. The truck driver attempted to overtake, causing the motorbike to be hit; the rider, Oktalia Wulandari, sustained head injuries and remains hospitalized.

In a separate incident in Sampang, East Java, 16‑year‑old student Pusabi was fatally injured in a suspected hit‑and‑run on the Omben road. His friend Lutfi, also 16, suffered facial and knee injuries. Police are investigating the unidentified vehicle involved.

Both accidents prompted local police investigations and calls for stricter road safety compliance.
