Teenager charged after scooter chase in Gravina di Catania

A 17-year-old male from Catania has been charged following a high-speed scooter chase in Gravina di Catania. During a routine traffic control operation, Carabinieri officers observed a scooter rider without a helmet. Upon spotting the patrol, the individual attempted to flee, performing dangerous maneuvers, zigzagging through traffic, and driving against the flow of traffic on several streets.

Officers successfully intercepted and identified the teenager. Investigations revealed that the individual was not only riding without a helmet but was also operating the vehicle without a driver's license. The teenager has been charged with “dangerous flight” and faces sanctions for multiple violations of the Italian Highway Code.
