Stan Wawrinka ends Grand Slam career with first‑round loss at 2026 French Open

Swiss three‑time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka played his final match at Roland‑Garros on 25 May 2026, losing in four sets (6‑3, 3‑6, 6‑3, 6‑4) to Dutch lucky‑loser Jesper de Jong. The 41‑year‑old announced that the season would be his last, and the defeat marked the end of a 15‑year run at the French Open, during which he captured the 2015 title.
