Teenager rescues man from burning house in Lubatowa

A 14-year-old boy, Kacper Turek from Lubatowa, rescued a man from a burning residential building on August 27. While returning from a shop with his father, Turek noticed flames and smoke coming from a house.

Acting without hesitation, the teenager entered the smoke-filled building and located a man, identified as Mr. Ryszard, who is described as having a disability. Turek successfully carried him out of the immediate danger zone, saving his life.

In recognition of his courage and composure, local officials from the Iwonicz-Zdrój municipality, including Mayor Grzegorz Nieradka and Deputy Mayor Stanisław Zając, officially honored the teenager. Turek was presented with a commemorative statue and a letter of appreciation for his selfless and responsible actions.
