A 13‑year‑old boy from Rheine suffered serious injuries after falling on a mountain‑bike descent at the Winterberg bike park in North Rhine‑Westphalia. Police reported that he was air‑lifted by a rescue helicopter to a hospital; medical officials said his condition was not life‑threatening and the cause of the fall remains under investigation.

In the Schwarzwald region near Oppenau, a 17‑year‑old rider on a light motorcycle lost control, went over a guardrail and fell into a brook at the Allerheiligen waterfalls.
