Tegan and Sara release new single ‘Our Year’ with Lights

Canadian musical duo Tegan and Sara have released a new single titled ‘Our Year’, marking their first new music since their 2022 album, Crybaby. The track is a collaboration with singer Lights and producer Felix Cartal.

Described as a summery synthpop song, ‘Our Year’ serves as an ode to Vancouver and a commentary on the city's cost of living. The lyrics balance optimism for a fresh start with the anxieties of external circumstances. The accompanying music video was directed by Kyle S. Lee.

This release follows Tegan Quin’s recent debut as a middle-grade novelist with the book Merry Christmess. Tegan and Sara are also scheduled to join Hilary Duff’s ‘The Lucky Me Tour’ as special guests in 2027.
