Tegernsee identified as Bavaria's most expensive lake region

Tegernsee has been identified as the most expensive lake region in Bavaria according to a recent analysis of rental and purchase price indices. The data shows that Tegernsee leads in all investigated categories, including house purchases, apartment purchases, and rental prices.

For residential houses, Tegernsee maintains a median price of 2.12 million EUR, significantly higher than the Starnberger See at 1.70 million EUR and the Ammersee at 1.29 million EUR. The Chiemsee remains the most affordable option among the compared regions, with a median house price of 1.06 million EUR.

In the apartment market, Tegernsee also holds the top position with a median price of 986,000 EUR. Regarding rental properties, Tegernsee and Ammersee are closely matched with median rates of approximately 22.50 EUR/m² and 22.31 EUR/m² respectively, while Chiemsee offers the lowest median rent at 18.93 EUR/m².
