Tegucigalpa hosts mass wedding for 350 couples

In Tegucigalpa, Honduras, 350 couples participated in a mass civil wedding ceremony held at Plaza Los Dolores. The event, titled ‘Dile que sí en la capital’, was organized by the Alcaldía Municipal del Distrito Central (AMDC) to mark the conclusion of Family Month.

Mayor Juan Diego Zelaya presided over the ceremony, accompanied by his wife, Paola Rubí, and other municipal officials. The proceedings included blessings from Priest Brayan Arriola and Evangelical Pastor Gerardo Irías. Municipal Secretary César Pinto conducted the official legal swearing-in to validate the unions.

The initiative aimed to promote family unity and legal marriage within the community. Following the legal ceremony, the new spouses and their guests held a celebratory toast.
