Tegucigalpa implements traffic restrictions for Ozuna concert
Tegucigalpa authorities have announced localized traffic restrictions on Bulevar Suyapa due to an Ozuna concert held as part of the Capital Fest celebrations for the city's 448th anniversary.
According to the Alcaldía Municipal del Distrito Central (AMDC), there will not be a general closure of the boulevard. Instead, restrictions are focused on the area in front of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH), extending from the UNAH pedestrian bridge to the Plaza Las Orquídeas exit. These restrictions, which began Friday for event setup, are scheduled to remain in place until Sunday, September 20, at 3:00 p.m.
To mitigate congestion, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Bulevar La Hacienda, El Trapiche, Calle hacia Trapiche number 3, and the road behind Plaza Santa Mónica. Traffic agents and municipal police will be deployed to manage vehicle flow and ensure pedestrian safety, especially as high traffic is expected due to both the concert and scheduled graduations at UNAH.
