Tehran displays mock prison cell featuring Donald Trump
A street performance in Tehran’s Tajrish Square features an actor portraying US President Donald Trump behind prison bars. The installation, which includes the slogan “It’s a crime to miss this scene,” has gained significant attention on social media.
The display occurs amidst an ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel that began on February 28. While the installation serves as a political statement, local citizens interviewed in Tehran expressed concerns regarding the future of the war and their general living conditions.
In response to the display, a White House official stated that the United States maintains a strong position due to control of the Strait of Hormuz and the state of the Iranian economy, asserting that the conflict will conclude soon.
