Tehran displays Trump impersonator in mock prison cell

An actor wearing a Donald Trump mask and wig appeared inside a mock prison cell mounted on a billboard above Tajrish Square in Tehran. The installation, featuring a bed, toilet, and sink, was unveiled by Tehran’s Beautification Organization as part of a municipal campaign.

The display serves as a political protest against the United States, specifically targeting Donald Trump in response to a deadly American strike that reportedly hit a wedding in the southern Iranian town of Kuhestak last month. An electronic billboard behind the cage displays imagery related to the strike and crime scenes to reinforce the political message. Passersby at the busy transport hub have gathered to film the performance, which includes the impersonator rattling the bars and napping inside the cell.
