Tehran International Short Film Festival announces selected films
The 43rd Tehran International Short Film Festival has announced the selected films for its specialized sections.
The ‘My Homeland through My Eyes’ section features domestic works focusing on the concept of war and its consequences. Selected films include ‘Last Breath’ by Mehdi Mahmoudi, ‘Red Eye’ by Seyed Hadi Mahdavi, and ‘Hunter’ by Amir Hossein Mehmandoost, among others. These works are judged separately to award a specific prize for this category.
Additionally, the festival has released the lineup for the International Cinema section, which is divided into five categories: Artificial Intelligence, Animation, Documentary, Experimental, and Narrative. The international selection includes diverse global entries such as ‘With the Wind’ from Morocco, ‘Clara Behind the Wheel’ from Belgium, and ‘The Apple Does Not Fall’ from China. The list spans numerous countries including Spain, France, Australia, and Argentina, showcasing a wide range of storytelling styles and technical approaches.
