Tehran man confesses to killing wife and daughter
A retired 47-year-old man has confessed to the murder of his 45-year-old wife and 12-year-old daughter in the Chitgar area of western Tehran.
According to the Tehran Police, the incident occurred on July 26. The suspect initially attempted to frame the killings as a robbery by leaving a safe open and empty. However, investigators noted contradictory statements and a lack of evidence regarding an external intruder.
Police revealed that the suspect was under severe financial pressure, including heavy debts and the threat of eviction. Forensic evidence, including gunpowder residue on the suspect's left hand, led to his confession. The suspect stated that an argument with his wife escalated, leading him to use a firearm, which subsequently resulted in the death of his daughter.
