Tehran police investigate family woman's death
Police in Tehran are investigating the death of a 51-year-old woman whose body was discovered in her home. Initial medical assessments suggest the cause of death was suffocation.
Investigators found that the victim's jewelry had been stolen, and a fake anklet was discovered on her body. While the victim's husband claimed a robbery occurred, detectives noted inconsistencies in the statements provided by the family regarding their whereabouts and employment status.
A piece of black woven fabric found at the crime scene was identified by the victim's husband as belonging to the family's son. The son, who had access to the second floor of the house where the body was found, initially claimed to be at work during the incident, but police are treating his involvement with heightened scrutiny.
