Tehran Prosecutor orders expedited probe into currency crimes
Tehran Prosecutor Ali Salehi held a meeting with Central Bank managers, judicial officials, and investigators to review the status of currency and trustee-related economic crime cases. The meeting focused on accelerating the investigation process and resolving pending files.
Salehi emphasized the necessity of protecting the national economic system against corruption and violations in the currency sector. He stated that the judiciary will take decisive legal action against individuals who exploit the country's economic and currency capacities to disrupt the economic order.
The prosecutor called for enhanced coordination between law enforcement, the Central Bank, and judicial authorities to improve the identification and investigation of these crimes. He noted that while legal and religious standards must be respected, judicial delays must be avoided to prevent the infringement of public rights or the continuation of criminal impacts.
