Tehran Stock Exchange sees continued growth and retail capital inflow

The Iranian stock market has experienced a significant upward trend, marked by the Tehran Stock Exchange index rising 2.03 percent to reach 6,223,000 units. This growth follows 16 consecutive days of increases for the main index, while the equal-weighted index rose for the 25th straight day, achieving a year-to-date return of approximately 85 percent.

Market activity was bolstered by the entry of 3.6 trillion tomans in retail capital. Total retail transaction value reached 36 trillion tomans, with approximately 9 trillion tomans in buy orders remaining at the close of trading. About 87 percent of listed symbols closed in positive territory.

Concurrently, the value of Justice Shares (Saham-e Edalat) has seen notable fluctuations due to price changes in their underlying symbols. For instance, the 490,000-toman share basket is currently valued at approximately 39.7 million tomans, while the 1 million-toman basket is valued at roughly 81.8 million tomans. The first phase of profit payments, based on the 2025 financial performance of investee companies, is scheduled to take place between September 2 and September 8.
