Toyota unveils new EV model and suspension upgrades for several vehicles

Toyota’s bZ4X touring version, a station‑wagon style EV, was reviewed with a real‑world range of about 500 km on a single charge, 224 ps power and a 7.3‑second 0‑100 km/h sprint. The model is positioned as a practical, modestly priced EV without standout styling.

Tein released a new 4×4 DAMPER SPORT suspension kit for the Land Cruiser 250, providing roughly a 40 mm lift, 16‑stage damping adjustment and a hydro‑bump stopper (H.B.S.). The kit is sold for ¥155,100 and aims to improve off‑road capability while maintaining on‑road comfort.

Tein also added its Endura‑Pro‑Plus shock absorber to the Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid line‑up. The pure‑OEM‑compatible shocks feature 16‑stage damping and H.B.S. technology, priced at ¥82,500 for the Plus version and ¥73,700 for the standard model.

Toyota previewed the next‑generation GR86 sports coupe, slated for a 2026‑2027 release. The upcoming model will carry a 2.4‑L boxer engine producing 235 hp, optional six‑speed manual or automatic transmissions, and an upgraded three‑camera EyeSight driver‑assist system. New exterior colors such as “Thunder” and interior trims were also highlighted.
