Teixeira de Freitas inaugurates new municipal daycare after 10-year delay

A new municipal daycare center has officially opened in the Colina Verde neighborhood of Teixeira de Freitas, Brazil. The facility, known as Creche Municipal Colina Verde, has the capacity to serve more than 100 children.

The project had faced a decade of abandonment, stagnation, and bureaucratic hurdles. Originally linked to the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE), the construction remained stalled for years due to technical and administrative irregularities. The local administration successfully resolved these issues to complete the work, which Mayor Marcelo Belitardo described as the recovery of public assets to support local families and urban development.
