Teixeira de Freitas presents 2026 financial results and 2027 budget proposal

The municipality of Teixeira de Freitas held public hearings to present its 2026 financial results and discuss the proposed 2027 budget. For the 2027 fiscal year, the administration has projected a revenue of R$ 919 million, with the majority of funds expected to come from state and federal transfers, estimated at R$ 766.2 million.

Regarding the financial results for the second quadrimester of 2026 (covering January to August), the municipality reported R$ 583 million in revenue and R$ 449.2 million in liquidated expenses. The primary result was positive at R$ 49.6 million, exceeding the projected target of R$ 28.6 million. Personnel expenses were recorded at 47.04% of the adjusted Net Current Revenue, remaining within legal limits.

The 2027 budget proposal covers sectors including health, education, social assistance, infrastructure, and environment. Following the public hearing, where citizens provided suggestions regarding urban and rural infrastructure, the proposal will be sent to the City Council for potential amendments and voting.
