Various regional initiatives are focusing on bridging the gap between academic training and labor market demands through technical and professional education.

In Ecuador, Corporación Proauto’s ‘De 0 a Ninja’ program graduated its first cohort of 15 multidisciplinary students. The 12-month intensive program provided technical training, mentorship, and specialized bootcamps to prepare talent for the automotive sector.

In Peru, the Universidad Nacional José María Arguedas and the IESTP ‘Todas las Artes’ signed a five-year cooperation agreement to enhance academic, scientific, and technological training. Additionally, SENATI announced a job fair in Arequipa to connect students and graduates with over 30 companies, addressing a market projected to see 425,000 new hires by 2026.

In Chile, discussions emphasize the need for highly prepared technical professionals to support industrial competitiveness and social mobility amidst challenges like automation and artificial intelligence.
