Tejina celebrates San Bartolomé patron saint festivities
The town of Tejina is celebrating its patron saint festivities in honor of San Bartolomé. A central highlight of the celebrations is the traditional entry of ‘Los Corazones’ into the church square, scheduled for Sunday, August 30.
The festivities include a variety of local customs, such as a parade of floats, musical performances, and the ‘Bebetlon’ event. Local authorities in La Laguna have emphasized the importance of these celebrations as a unique expression of identity passed down through generations. To support the events, the municipality has implemented special security and cleaning measures.
In addition to the public ceremonies, the festivities are characterized by the local culinary tradition of ‘ventorrillos’—traditional eateries and restaurants that serve regional gastronomy, including adobos and local wines, contributing to the cultural atmosphere of the town.
