Tekirdağ City Hospital opens new iodine treatment unit
The Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital in Tekirdağ has inaugurated a new 7-bed Iodine Treatment Center within its Nuclear Medicine Clinic. Spanning 625 square meters, the unit is built according to international radiation protection standards.
The facility will provide specialized treatments including Radioactive Iodine-131, commonly known as atom therapy, as well as Lutetium-177 PSMA for prostate cancer and Lutetium-177 DOTA for neuroendocrine tumors. The center aims to treat thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, and various other conditions.
