TEKNOFEST 2026: Student electric vehicle reaches finals as municipal support grows

Students from DOSTEK Koleji have advanced to the finals of TEKNOFEST 2026 after successfully developing an electric vehicle. The project passed several critical stages, including technical design reporting, brake testing, dynamic driving tests, subsystem control, and technical approval. The final competitions are scheduled to take place in Gebze between August 31 and September 6, 2026.

In support of the upcoming festival, Keçiören Municipality, through its Prof. Dr. Tunçalp Özgen Technology Center (TEKNOMER), has provided material support to 19 teams preparing for TEKNOFEST 2026. The municipality allocated a total of 1.2 million Turkish Liras to supply high school and university teams with essential components such as underwater propellers, rocket parts, servo motors, electronic boards, 3D printers, and various chemical and electronic materials. This initiative includes mentorship, facility usage, and testing area access to assist young innovators in their technological projects.
