Tel Aviv journalist office vandalized, media denounce incitement

A door of the System building in Tel Aviv was smashed overnight, prompting a police investigation into the violent act. Economic editor Keren Martsiano of News 12 condemned the attack on Instagram, directly blaming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Minister of Communications for fostering hostile rhetoric against journalists. She wrote, “Prime Minister, Communications Minister – this is the result of your incitement.”

Other reporters, including Michal Pa’ilan, echoed concerns about the climate of danger for journalists in Israel, urging authorities to curb reckless statements in the free press. The incident follows a series of threatening graffiti messages posted in the Baitzron neighbourhood earlier in the month, which named journalists Dror Druker, Guy Feig, Amnon Abramovich and former sniper Yifat Tomer, urging “blood‑paid retribution.” Police were dispatched to the scene after the vandalism.

The episode highlights escalating tensions between Israeli media figures and government officials over alleged inflammatory discourse.
