Telangana ACB uncovers Rs 9.24 crore in assets of HMDA Chief Engineer B Ravinder
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana registered a disproportionate‑assets case against B Ravinder, the Chief Engineer of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). Raids conducted on July 14 at his residence, office and nine additional locations linked to relatives and associates uncovered assets valued at approximately Rs 9.24 crore.
Seized immovable assets include five open plots in Kondakal, Kistapur and Pasamala; four residential flats in Narsingi and Nanakramguda; four acres of agricultural land in Kothur and Shamshabad; a semi‑finished villa in Mokila worth Rs 1.33 crore; and a G+4 building in Kondapur valued at Rs 3 crore. Movable assets recovered comprise cash of Rs 3.82 lakh, bank balances of about Rs 45.05 lakh, gold ornaments (1.44 kg, Rs 36.70 lakh), silver ornaments (12.5 kg, Rs 10 lakh), a fleet of vehicles valued at Rs 1.16 crore (including luxury SUVs), and electronic gadgets worth Rs 9.32 lakh.
Ravinder has been booked under Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and produced before a Special Judge for judicial remand. The ACB said investigations will continue to identify any further benami properties or assets.
