Telangana ATM robbery: Suspects use ambulance and disguises to steal cash
In the Gandhari area of Telangana's Kamareddy district, unidentified individuals carried out a highly unusual robbery at a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM. The incident occurred between 1:00 AM and 1:30 AM on a Sunday.
According to reports and CCTV footage, the suspects arrived at the ATM located on the Kamareddy-Banswara main road in a white ambulance. To evade detection and disguise their identities, the perpetrators wore women's nightwear (nighties) and covered their faces. The suspects reportedly used chemicals and a gas cutter to break into the machine and steal an undisclosed amount of cash.
Local residents discovered the damaged ATM the following morning and alerted the police. Forensic teams have collected fingerprints and technical evidence from the scene. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace the ambulance's route and identify the suspects, while bank officials work to verify the total amount of stolen cash.
