Telangana BJP chief Rao condemns Congress over Jharkhand student exam protests

Telangana BJP President Ramchander Rao criticised the Congress party and the INDI alliance, calling them “dubious and hypocritical” for exploiting the student protests in Jharkhand. The protests demand the cancellation of the Preliminary Test for the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission Combined Civil Services Examination and a review of exams conducted through TDPL agencies, after allegations of a paper leak. Rao also highlighted similar student actions in Kerala, accusing the opposition of double standards.

Rao endorsed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s call for peaceful demonstrations and urged students to “put the nation first.” He also attacked the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, saying it questions India’s sovereignty and invites foreign interference. The remarks came amid heightened political debate over the student unrest and the government’s response.
