Telangana BJP leaders criticize Rahul Gandhi’s Supreme Court protest
Leaders of the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have criticized Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi following his protest march to the Supreme Court in Delhi.
BJP President Ramchandra Rao accused Gandhi of dragging the judiciary into political controversy and undermining its sanctity. Rao stated that the Supreme Court has already provided guidelines to the Election Commission of India regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and that Gandhi’s actions serve to mislead the public and discredit both the judiciary and the Election Commission.
Additionally, BJP spokesperson NV Subhash characterized the protest as a media stunt intended to attract attention rather than a responsible political action. Subhash also questioned the legal strategy of the INDIA bloc regarding their petition and noted that several alliance partners reportedly boycotted or were absent from the march.
